"The green economy can make a significant contribution to Ireland’s economy by creating employment and export opportunities in areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency and consultancy, waste management, recovery and recycling, and water and wastewater treatment. The Group on Green Enterprise was mandated to identify areas where Ireland could succeed in the green economy and was charged with identifying key road blockages for the green economy and ways to overcome these. The actions set out in this report are based on group members’ views identified over the course of the meetings, with research provided by Forfás." -- Website.
